New Hope Homes - Rwanda

After feeling the country as a young boy due to ethnic war and injustice, founder Mbanda and his wife Chantal returned to Rwanda in late 2005 to seek ways to uplift their country. Now through children homes, they are dedicated to freeing orphans and abandoned children from despair and giving them true “hope” for their future. At New Hope Homes we provide a loving, caring, stable and nurturing living environment. Their spiritual, emotional, medical and educational needs are all met.

Children usually enter the homes when they are newborn to about 5 years old. Each of our 3 homes has a widow that serves as a “mommy” for the kids and 3 young women who serve as “aunties” to tend to the cooking, cleaning and basic needs of the 27 children. A night watchman provides an extra bit of security each evening.

We would like to purchase some 2 more cows in order to sell the milk. We have enough for our children, but we could now sell the surplus to offset our costs.
