Helping Hands India
On December 23rd of 2001 Helping Hands Children Home began with Rev. George Fernandes’ vision to restore hope to the hopeless and disadvantaged children. Our home began with just 10 children and now over 65 children call this home. The children are cared for each day by home parents. These parents see to it that the children are fed, their studies are taken seriously, and that they have time to play and enjoy their childhood. The children’s day begins early with their schooling and ends with an evening devotion just before bedtime.
Our children are talented and are given many opportunities to pursue those talents. Stanish is an artist who received 1st place prize in an open competition. Karthic and Liliyan were selected for soccer at the Juniors District level. Deepika is emerging as a fabric designer. Our children even had the privilege to garland the Bangalore Royal Challnegers IPL Cricket team!
