The Vision
The vision of Child Haven is for children to experience the joy and security of childhood by providing a home, a loving environment, and the hands of Christ to touch, nurture, and bring wholeness to body and soul. In a continent overburdened in an orphan crisis, Child Haven is part of the answer. As Pastor David Webb articulates, "It is our vision that many havens will be planted, enabling hundreds of children to be cared for and taught Godly principles. Our long-term vision is to create models that are easily taught and caught, so that many other organizations will start small, home-type havens."

Malibongwe
Child Haven started as an extension of Baby Haven, a few months after Baby Haven became an Rice Bowls Orphanage Partner. Some children at Baby Haven were over 2 years of age but not adoptable for various reasons. A home suited to older children was therefore needed. In addition to these Rice Bowls orphanage partners, there is Malibongwe, a home for mothers with children, as well as the Urban Vision outreach and HIV/AIDS Sihambasonke Counseling ministry. These projects are collectively called Masiphane Projects and are overseen by Pastors David and Caroline Webb.
| | A Loving Staff
The home is operated by Amy Golden, a full-time minister with Every Nation Ministries. She raised funds from South African supporters to send all the children to good schools very near the home. Two other full-time international volunteers assist three paid staff to serve the children. This Christian staff understands the vision to be Christ to these children from difficult circumstances.
